DFACS Services & Fee Schedule
Department of Family & Children Services — Comprehensive assessments, therapy, and support for families
Loving Helping Hands, Inc. is a contracted provider for the Georgia Department of Family & Children Services (DFACS). We deliver a full range of specialty services designed to support children, families, and caregivers throughout the DFACS process.
Services Provided
Comprehensive Child & Family Assessment (CCFA)
A thorough assessment conducted for children entering into foster care. This evaluation examines the child's physical, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs to inform placement and service planning.
Relative Assessments
Formal assessments of relatives being considered as placement resources for children in DFACS custody. We evaluate the home environment, caregiver capacity, and family dynamics to support safe placement decisions.
Home Evaluations
Evaluations of prospective homes for family members or non-family members seeking to provide care for children. Our licensed staff conduct thorough home studies to ensure safe, nurturing environments.
Parenting Classes
Evidence-based parenting education programs designed to strengthen parenting skills, improve family communication, and support reunification goals for families involved with DFACS.
Crisis Intervention Services
Immediate, short-term support for families and individuals experiencing a crisis. Our trained staff provide stabilization, safety planning, and linkage to ongoing services.
Behavior-Aide Services
In-home and community-based behavioral support for children and adolescents. Behavior aides work directly with youth to develop coping skills, reduce problematic behaviors, and support positive development.
Family Therapy Counseling
Licensed therapists provide family therapy sessions to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen family relationships — a key component of reunification and family preservation efforts.
Parenting Education & Assessment
Combined education and formal assessment services that evaluate parenting capacity while simultaneously building skills. Reports are provided to DFACS caseworkers to inform case planning.
Substance Abuse Assessment
Comprehensive substance abuse evaluations conducted by certified counselors. Assessments identify the nature and extent of substance use and provide recommendations for treatment and support services.
Trauma Assessment
Specialized assessments to identify trauma history and its impact on children and families. Results guide trauma-informed treatment planning and service coordination.
